The Name Droppers – Let’s Live Together
The Name Droppers return with Let’s Live Together, a new album released on June 12, 2026 through Horizon Music Group. Built on a strong mix of blues, R&B, soul and old-school rock ’n’ roll, the album finds the veteran New England band in confident and energetic form.
The group features Rafe Klein on guitar and vocals, Ron Rifkin on piano and keyboards, Bobby “T” Torello on drums and Scott Spray on bass. With deep connections to the legacy of Charlie Karp and years of experience alongside artists such as Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter, Michael Bolton and Grace Slick, The Name Droppers bring real musical history into every track.
The album opens with the playful “Grey Haired Blues,” before moving into the title track, “Let’s Live Together,” a soulful and timely song about unity, hope and finding a better way forward. “Heartbreak City” delivers driving blues energy, while the band’s take on Bob Dylan’s “Gotta Serve Somebody” adds a gospel-flavored blues feel.
There are also strong moments of classic soul and blues tradition, including a live version of Aretha Franklin’s “Chain Of Fools” and a powerful closing take on “Mannish Boy,” with harmonica from Richard Hunter.
Let’s Live Together is a warm, lively and well-crafted album from musicians who know the blues from the inside. It respects the tradition, but it also feels fresh, human and full of groove — exactly the kind of modern blues-rock release that fits perfectly on Blues Wave Radio.
Recommended tracks: “Let’s Live Together,” “Heartbreak City,” “Gotta Serve Somebody” and “Mannish Boy.”
