Like father like son” is a really ancient proverb that, according to dictionary.com, has been used in the English language since the 1300s. It is also used with the same meaning in various other languages like the Greek language. In the case of Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real the application of the proverb is 100% accurate. Country Rock has yet another great band to listen to.

Lukas Nelson following the footsteps of his famous father Willie Nelson created the band in 2008 together with drummer Anthony LoGerf, percussionist Tato Melgar and bassist Merlyn Kelly. They have toured with Willie Nelson and B.B. King and they also have participated in many records by Neil Young. The band has also appeared on Bradley Cooper’s movie a star is born where they appear as Cooper’s band.

Their latest album is Sticks and Stones. It was released on July 14, 2023 and it is a perfect blend of country rock, blues boogies, barroom dances and campfire singalongs. The album is already on the airplay of BluesWave Radio. https://blueswave.radio/fm223/index.php/now-on-air/
