Erja Lyytinen is one of the leading blues-rock guitarists on the international touring circuit. During a recording career spanning 19 years, the High-Flying Finn has released twelve studio albums as well as several live albums. Lyytinen’s musical pallet is vast, encompassing the very best of contemporary blues-rock whilst inspired and influenced by the blues greats of yore.
We think that Erja Lyytinen may be on a quest: no rocking blues artist seems to be as prolific as this Finnish queen of the blues slide guitar. Both on stage and on record we cannot remember an artist that produces so much music. And what’s more: always of the highest quality with extraordinary charm and energy.
Now, Erja is looking back on her 20 years of blues Rock. And a true document it has become, this recording of her jubilee show where many of her (ex) colleagues were invited to share the stage.
