With a storied career spanning over 45 years in prolific broadcast radio, my journey commenced in 1976 as an intern at the renowned KROQ in Pasadena, California. Transitioning into my professional career, I secured my first radio position as the weekend overnight host at WKXA in Brunswick, Maine. My trajectory unfolded across diverse formats until I found my niche as the News Anchor at KKOH, Reno, Nevada’s perennial #1 radio station, where I concluded my illustrious career upon retirement in April 2023.

Passionate and knowledgeable, my expertise lies in curating engaging shows centered around music and artists—a realm I have ardently explored throughout my broadcasting tenure. In the dynamic 1980s, my mobile DJ service, Wolf Trax Rockin’ Oldies Show, earned accolades as the Best Mobile DJ Service in New England (across all genres) from 1985-1991, as adjudged by Sweet Potato Magazine readers. During this period, I had the honor of making concert introductions for luminaries like Jethro Tull and Yes (Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe).

Reno’s reputation as an “Events City” found me as the Master of Ceremonies/Host for major events, ranging from Street Vibrations and Hot August Nights to local TV shows and the prestigious Virginia City International Camel Races, where I proudly hold the title of Honorary Mayor. My experiences include unconventional feats such as conducting live reports with a lemur perched on my head and delivering reports while upside-down in an aerobatic aircraft. Beyond the airwaves, I have secured Land Speed Records, including one exceeding 200 MPH, and made a memorable appearance in the Anthony Hopkins movie, “The World’s Fastest Indian.”

Recognition for my contributions includes being inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame and the Land Speed Racers Hall of Fame. I served as a dedicated member of the Board of Trustees for the Nevada Railway Foundation, actively involved in fundraising for the restoration of the Virginia & Truckee Railway. Additionally, I founded and presided over the Great Basin and Eastern Sierra Geocachers, creating and overseeing its annual Off-Road Navigational Rally—a testament to my multifaceted engagement and commitment to diverse communities.
