This album was recorded in 2009 by the band of Wishbone Ash bassist Martin Turner and his band, Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash. Argus, is considered one of the best Wishbone Ash albums originally recorded in the 70s.
Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash entered the studio in 2009 and re-recorded the entire Argus, reviving the epic dream stories and unique guitar melodies of the first recording, elements that influenced the entire spectrum of rock, from Thin Lizzy to Iron Maiden, with one of the most commercially successful rock albums of all time in Greece. Martin’s voice still sounds quite good after all these years. For the recording of this album:
– Ray Hatfield, on acoustic and electric guitar and vocals
– Rob Hewins, on drums, percussion and vocals
– Geoff Downes, on Hammond organ
– John Wetton, on vocals
– Keith Buck, on electric guitar and vocals and
– Martin Turner, on bass, vocals, production and mixing of the album
they spent a lot of time and effort, ultimately giving an excellent quality recording album.
For all friends of good music, but especially for fans of Wishbone Ash, it would be good not to miss this album from their collection along with the original.
Through this new edition of Argus I select the track “Sometime World”.
