Blues Blast Magazine described the album as a 13-track, 60-minute set that unites King\u2019s longtime players with major blues guests, while Rock and Blues Muse noted that the record was released on May 10, 2019.<\/p>

The heart of the album lies in balance: part homage, part new statement. The Soul Of The King<\/em> revisits classic B.B. King material, but it also gives the band room to present original songs that reflect the same musical world \u2014 horn-driven blues, slow-burning ballads, shuffles, funk, soul and big-band sophistication. The official Ruf Records biography describes tracks such as \u201cLow Down,\u201d \u201cShe\u2019s The One,\u201d \u201cTaking Care Of Business\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cHey There Pretty Woman\u201d<\/strong> as part of that wider musical portrait.<\/p>
